MOIC Miami is HOT!
Sunshine, lollipops, rainbows and of course, ice cream!
One of the most Instagrammable locations in Miami, and let’s be real, there are MANY, has announced its staying open through Spring Break! The famed Museum of Ice Cream, is keeping its doors open until April 29 and then it’s back to Miami being muy caliente!
Your last chance tix go on sale tomorrow (2/27) at 11 a.m. Get tickets online for$38. Kids 3 and under are free.
Right on Collins Ave. (3400 to be exact), the MOIC, is open Wednesdays through Mondays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.. Other institution locations include New York, LA, and San Fran.
Maryellis Bunn, the brilliant mastermind behind MOIC, was inspired from Miami and Miami Beach (who isn’t?!) and included distinctive minutiae, like a key lime pie ice cream flavor, into the museum’s eight different rooms.
Bubblegum pink EVERYTHING, reminiscent of MIA’s sultry scene, adorns the outside of the building and it’s all uphill from there!
All the rooms in the four-story building at Museum of Ice Cream Miami are enchanting!
Navigating Miami’s MOIC:
There’s only one-way up the museum’s four floors. Stay as long as you want in each room but you can’t go backward.
There is an elevator for people with special needs.
Treats must be finished or trashed in each room before moving on to the next room.
Museum guides are camera happy and delighted to snap, snap, snap your photos.

Make sure to choose your outfit wisely!
The Bunns Shake Room has a conveyor belt that sends milkshakes to an ice cream bar (wow!). It also has a gold glitter floor and retro video game console.
FAN-tastic is an ice cream-themed dance studio with fans fashioned as pink ice cream cones. You can even work with a museum guide to choreograph a little diddy. Or, you know, go freestyle!
Safari has a banana swing, pink palm trees and a Coconut Cave. I think I had you at banana swing! Need I say more?!
Taste melted ice cream in Food Fight. Ummm. I’ll tast ice cream in any form thank you very much!
The kiddies will LOVE the Sand Castle room. They (and you!!!) can play in pink sand to create their own sculpture, evocative of visits to the beach. I foresee lots of green gingham dresses to go all Lily Pulitzer in this room!
Sweet Sculpture Studio is an opportunity to build your own masterpiece with colorful blocks. Kinda like Legos but better and in an ice cream museum! Hello!
Pop some local goodies in your mouth at Pop, Also, strike a pose in front of a cascading wall of pink, red, blue and yellow popsicles. The popsicles are fake but you wish they were real! Start coordinating those outfits now!
And of course, there’s the Sprinkle Pool. They even have lockers where to store your stuff, gold showerheads, and naturally, a pool full of sprinkles. Not real sprinkles you can devour, but plastic sprinkles. No Diving In the Pool, please!
Have fun! AZUCAR!
